Working principle of steel wire insert

The thread insert is made of high quality stainless steel wire. The cross section is rhombic. It is mechanically rolled into spring shaped thread. The diameter of the screw sleeve is larger than that of the screw hole. When the screw sleeve is installed, the screw sleeve is compressed and tightened. After the installation, it will bounce back to the original state, so that the screw sleeve is permanently fixed in the screw hole. Because of its larger diameter, the threaded insert has a larger contact surface, so it is stronger than the original thread.
